Greetings, fellow gerbils!
Hey there, it's Gerry here! As you may have gathered, I am a gerbil and this is a blog about my life on this planet. I appear to humans through a machine called the GerbilMaestro, which is an exact copy of my master. I control this machine and most of the time pretend to be my master in front of other humans.
I hope you enjoy reading my blog. Thanks a gerbillion!

Weekly News Round-Up #52: 16/02/2014

Yo wassup everyone! It's been a relatively quiet week over here, but still, here's what happened...

The news has been playing all week in the lunch room TV, and I think it's fair to say that we had fun trying to decipher what the sign language person was saying, since the actual sound was very low.

On Monday evening, ArwaChihuahua, Ruby, DisneyLoverMolly, ConscienceSarah and Master all went to see the Academy's production of 'Oliver: The Musical'. Being a keen performer, Wicks was in the show as 'Old woman 4'. Before the show, however, DisneyLoverMolly decided to kill some time by playing 'The Dumping Ground' game, where she got to compete with other people online, doing various challenges. Why not check out the game for yourself here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/cbbc/games/the-dumping-ground-game

Tuesday was a day of fun as Cap. brought in a pack of Candy Crush sweets! Yes, they do exist. Here is the photographic evidence:
There was an interesting array of flavours, with the yellow ones tasting surprisingly similar to Lemon & Honey Strepsils. Many thanks to Cap. for bringing those in :)

Later on in the week, Ruby, ConscienceSarah and Master had a little discussion on the spelling of the word 'continuum'. They all thought that the spelling was interesting, and also applied the rule to the word 'vacuum'...

With Friday being Valentine's Day, DisneyLoverMolly hosted a movie night at hers. This involved quite a few of us getting onto the bus. Now, this was an experience in itself, with Angry Bill, the bus driver, getting rather annoyed at someone pressing the bell. It turned out, in the end, that it was DLM, who was unknowingly leaning on it! When we did get to DLM's it turned out that Wicks beat us to it. The fun was amped up even more when we heard that ANT had arrived. This called for us all to cram ourselves into the cupboard in a frenzied attempt to scare her. Unfortunately, she'd already seen us, so the plan failed...

ANT, along with the rest of us, found a new friend in Scout, DLM's majestic dog. At one point, Scout was surrounded by 3 people petting her all at once. I think it's fair to say that we were all feeling the love ;p

We watched 'Mean Girls' first, with Master slightly misinterpreting a particular scene. Afterwards, DLM thought it was essential for us to watch 'Aquamarine', a film that ANT found incredibly cliché but enjoyed it nonetheless.

Thanks to DisneyLoverMolly for being a fantastic host! I'm sure we all had a great time :)

Until next week, have a good one ;)
